Romero has always found her deepest work inside that stillness. The studio is a place of solitude. The hands in the clay, the silence around the making, the hours that exist outside of time. It is in that space that the truest things surface. Not the version of ourselves we present to the world, but the one that has been there all along, waiting to be heard.

This piece was made to hold that feeling. To be a reminder that the relationship we have with ourselves is the foundation of every other relationship we will ever have. And that the most important conversations we will ever have are the ones that happen in silence, alone, with no one watching.
