This piece is a reminder that control is an illusion. It comes to us in the moments we think we have it all figured out — and quietly dissolves everything we thought was solid. Experiencing faith means letting go of expectations, and that can feel so vulnerable, so raw, so hesitating. But there will be a point in life where it forces you to do it anyway.
To have faith is to understand that we are not alone. That we are orchestrating with a bigger force, a bigger power — one that is holding us, taking us to places we could have never imagined were available. When we allow that supernatural force to lead us, when we finally surrender, life expands in ways the mind could never have planned. Uncertainty feels terrifying until we learn to ask a different question: what if it brings hope, abundance, freedom, experiences that were never even on our radar? We are here for so much more than we allow ourselves to receive. Faith is the invitation to jump, to trust, to remember we were never alone.
And the crack on the side of this piece is no accident. It is the work being exactly what it was meant to be — a reminder. As much as Romero wanted to control every line, every edge, every outcome, life had other plans. That little fracture is life itself, showing up inside the clay the same way it shows up inside us. We sometimes need to crack to become greater. And those scars are witnesses of our strength.
